I listen first

Before I suggest anything, I learn about your business, your goals and your team, with no assumptions and no cookie-cutter plans.

I simplify the complex

Compliance rules, policies and paperwork get broken into clear steps you can actually use. Less legal mumbo jumbo, more plain answers.

I build for growth

Every policy and process fits where you are now and where you're headed, so growth doesn't turn into chaos later.

Fractional HR FAQs

Fractional HR is senior HR leadership on a part-time basis: an experienced HR person working on your strategy, planning and people decisions without you hiring one full-time. At HRish, ongoing fractional work is usually set up as a Monthly partnership with a set number of hours a month, and the support can grow as the business does.

Ongoing fractional work fits a Monthly partnership best, and the starting price for each way of working is shown under "Three ways to work together" on this page. Typically the hours per month, the size of your business, the amount of work you need done and your budget will decide the pricing. After a consultation, I can tell you which option fits your business and what it would cost.

A fractional CHRO works as part of your leadership team over time, helping set HR strategy and see it through. An HR consultant is often brought in for a defined project, like a handbook rewrite or a pay review. The real difference is how involved you want that person to be, and for how long.

Right now I have three options: 15, 25 or 40 hours a month. I'm flexible when I need to be, and the hours can change as your needs change.

Consider it when HR questions start eating into your own time, when you're making your first few hires, or before a growth spurt stretches the team. Starting small, with one project or a few hours of advice, is fine. Getting the basics right early is generally easier than untangling them later.

Yes. If you need someone to hold things steady while you hire, I can step in as your interim HR lead. The length and hours vary by company and needs, the work is remote with time in person here and there if needed, and I'll even help train your new hire. Tell me what's going on through my contact page and I'll tell you how it would work for your business.

Hourly help is from $115/hr, depending on the type of work. A monthly partnership starts around $1,950/mo and scales with the support you need. Project work is scoped individually and quoted up front, so you know the investment before I start. Most handbook projects start around $900; a full rebuild costs more than an update. The first consultation is free.
