Pueblo HR FAQs
Yes. Pueblo West and Cañon City are part of the Pueblo area I serve, along with Pueblo itself and the smaller communities across Southern Colorado. Most of my work with clients is done by phone and video, wherever the business is. Clients with team members in other states are welcome too. Beyond Southern Colorado, HRish also serves Colorado Springs, Denver and Fort Collins & Loveland.
Yes, for the work that's better face to face, like trainings and leadership meetings, I'll come to your business or another location you choose. Mediation and investigation interviews can happen in person or by video. Day-to-day questions are usually handled by phone, video, email or text: I generally answer email within one to two hours, and if you call, I usually pick up straight away unless I'm in a meeting.
I can help with anything from a single project to ongoing support. That can be a handbook and compliance review, a hiring process with job descriptions, interview guides and a 90-day onboarding plan, help with an investigation or a hard conversation, manager training, pay ranges and workforce planning, or a monthly partnership where I handle the day-to-day HR questions for you. If you're not sure which fits, a first conversation is the easiest way to find out.
When I checked in October 2026, no. Colorado allows cities and counties to set a local minimum wage, but CDLE's table of local rates lists none for Pueblo, Pueblo West or Cañon City, so the statewide minimum applies there. That figure adjusts every year, so look up the current number on CDLE's labor standards page instead of reusing an old one. If a team member works four or more hours a week in Denver, Denver's higher local rate may apply to that work.
Hourly help is from $115/hr, depending on the type of work. A monthly partnership starts around $1,950/mo and scales with the support you need. Project work is scoped individually and quoted up front, so you know the investment before I start. Most handbook projects start around $900; a full rebuild costs more than an update. The first consultation is free.
